YES! You have time to learn BrainMoves. What to expect from the BrainMoves Course

What to expect from the BrainMoves Course

Are you considering doing BrainMoves with your child or incorporating it into your classroom but are unsure if you have the time to dedicate to learning? Regular readers of this newsletter know that my self-paced BrainMoves course is designed for busy parents and working adults. I created the course with audio that can be listened to in the car or while doing chores around the house, as well as 5.5 hours of brief, easily digestible interactive video lessons. I wanted to make sure that parents, teachers, and therapists could learn valuable skills that they could immediately apply, even while they were still going through the course lessons. Yet, many people still wonder, “What will you learn?” Here is what is included in my BrainMoves course.

One of the major benefits of BrainMoves lies in the fact that many of the movements in the system help our bodies regulate by soothing our nervous systems, relaxing our muscles and tendons, restoring our vision and hearing to normal and “turning off” the freeze, fight or flight reflex.

When you take my course, you will learn 36 movements that can support both preschoolers and adults when you experience a lack of focus, anxiety, difficulty hearing, understanding, seeing, or other symptoms of overwhelm. Here’s a quick sneak peek of what you will learn.

MODULE 1: Introduction to BrainMoves

In this module, you’ll be introduced to BrainMoves and discover the important role movement plays in child development. You'll learn how theBrainMoves techniques can transform your preschoolers focus, confidence, and learning.

MODULE 2: The Science Behind BrainMoves

Dive deep into brain development and reflexes in this module. You’ll gain a better understanding of why BrainMoves works, which will allow you to apply these movements more effectively. You will learn why helping your child process sounds and words is key to learning.  This is especially helpful  for those students with sensory challenges or attention difficulties.

MODULE 3: Learning the BrainMoves Movements that Use Both Sides of the Body

This hands-on module teaches you simple BrainMoves that most preschoolers can easily do. You’ll learn how to demonstrate and teach these movements, ready to implement them right away. Your preschooler will do movements that help with awareness, coordination and confidence.

MODULE 4: Movements Using the Middle of the Body

Focusing on core stability, this module explores movements that strengthen the body's center. These movements are crucial for creating connections that regulate balance and organization, laying a solid foundation for overall development in preschoolers. This is especially helpful for children who have been identified as hyperactive because children who are more comfortable in their bodies can sit and learn more comfortably.

MODULE 5: Movements Crossing the Middle of the Body

Learn the movements that strengthen the ability to cross the body’s midline, which is critical for developing left to right connections in the brain that enhance learning readiness. You'll learn how these movements can significantly improve a child's focus, fine motor skills, and integration of both movement and ideas.

MODULE 6: The Start-Up Movements

In just five minutes or less, you can kickstart a child’s day or learning session with the six BrainMoves introduced in this module. These movements help engage and prepare them for focused activities.

MODULE 7: Using Movements with Positive Beliefs

Combine BrainMoves with positive statements to enhance their effectiveness. This module teaches you how to write simple statements that target the skills or behaviors. Discover how crafting simple, targeted statements can help reinforce the skills and behaviors you want to promote, creating a more supportive environment for children.

MODULE 8: Wrap-up and Implementation

The final module gives you practical tools and fun ideas for using BrainMoves every day. You will receive downloadable resources for the children like posters, bookmarks, coloring pages, and movement cards. For the professional or parent, there are reference pages and worksheets, ensuring that you feel fully equipped to make a positive impact on children's behavior and development.

Why the BrainMoves Movements Are Especially Helpful:

The BrainMoves program is incredibly beneficial for preschoolers with behavior challenges, delayed development, learning challenges, hyperactivity or problems focusing and paying attention. Many kids struggle with focus, coordination, and self-regulation, and BrainMoves provides a straightforward way to support their development. By including these movements into their routines, you can help children improve their ability to process sights and sounds, stay focused, and behave better in both home and classroom settings. This is especially important for preschoolers who may find traditional learning methods difficult, as movement-based strategies can make learning more fun and effective.

Are you ready to start your BrainMoves journey? This course will give you all the tools you need to make these movements part of your daily life. With the right strategies and a little effort, you can help children thrive, improving their behavior and focus. Don’t wait—take the first step today and watch as your child or students grow and succeed!
